This is a sick flyer for a night my friend lily used to run with her partner josh os. They used to do all sorts of high-art inspired nights with cake and theater. It was the early days of electroclash so irony hadn't been totally done to death yet. Never made it to Hi-Scores but I did go up there to Dj a halloween party they were putting on. I never got to play because some philly thugs started a mini riot. Like metal trash cans being thrown at people and stuff riot. It was kinda like real life Double Dragon or something. I was bummed I didn't get to play but it was a fun night anyway, we retreated to a ukranian social club that had sweet wall-paper and a bangin party going on inside.
Side note, when we were interviewing people for this documentary about electro, eric interviewed diplo who claimed that he would go to Hi-Scores and got inspired to take over that scene. Which well he did, on like a global scale. Funny how things work out.
